It’s never going to be the right time for whatever it is that you want to do. The right time is anytime it is. Just do it.
When I finished the research and I published the research and I wanted to write my next book, my publisher told me, oh, you know, Michelle, nobody publishes books in the summer. Nobody reads books in the summer. Never heard this, but this is what she said. She said, the best time to publish is spring or fall. So if you make it by this deadline, and she gave me a deadline, we can publish it in May.
And then all I thought about, and this is the magic of deadline to a goal, all I thought about is, how am I gonna make it by the deadline? I gotta make it by the deadline. Was it the right time for me? Absolutely not. In my dreams, I would rent an apartment somewhere and write my next book and dedicate my – no. I sat at three o’clock in the morning with my dogs and my coffee and wrote the book.
So whatever it is that you want to do, do it now. That’s what I did and it worked for me. Otherwise none of this would have happened.
